Wiley Nickel, Attorney

Wiley Nickel lives and works in Cary, North Carolina.  In 1998, he graduated from Tulane University with a major in Political Science and a minor in History.  After college Wiley went to work for Al Gore and traveled with the Vice President as part of his national advance staff.  Following the Gore campaign he earned his law degree from the Pepperdine University School of Law in 2005.

Mr. Nickel has handled a multitude of traffic cases in North Carolina. He has helped many with charge reductions, leading to lower fines and in some cases less insurance points. Kristi Haddock, Attorney

Kristi Rogers Haddock was born and raised in Cary, North Carolina, where her family has lived for more than 100 years. Kristi earned her undergraduate degree in child life, with a minor in business administration from East Carolina University. While at ECU, Kristi spent a semester interning with the Pitt County Public Defender’s Office, where she was first introduced to the criminal justice system. After graduating summa cum laude from ECU, Kristi accepted a partial scholarship to Campbell University School of Law. 

Ms. Haddock spent time working with the Chatham County District Attorney's office as an intern during law school, and also volunteered with the Wake County District Attorney after becoming a licensed attorney in North Carolina. Lauren Franklin, Legal Assistant

Lauren is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah, who graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in Art History and a minor in Anthropology. After college, she began working at Wells Fargo Bank before joining our law firm.

As the office manager and legal assistant, Lauren will likely be the first person you speak with at The Law Offices of Wiley Nickel. Her duties at the firm including answering and making calls to clients, sending out contact emails, following up with clients after their court date, and prepping paperwork and files for the attorneys.

Lauren moved to Raleigh, NC, at the beginning of 2014 with her husband and loves North Carolina life, but misses the Utah mountains and sometimes even snow! In her spare time, she enjoys dance and teaching colorguard at West Johnston High School. 

Mary Beth Doyle, Legal Assistant

Mary Beth joins our team after working  at the Wake County Clerk of Court Office. While working in the Clerk's Office, she gained valuable experience handling all of the Wake County District Court expungements. Mary Beth has an insider's perspective about what is required to quickly and properly move an expungement petition through the system. Her great experience and knowledge about expungements is a welcome and valued addition to the law firm. 

Mary Beth grew up in several different states along the east coast. She enjoyed a childhood on the beaches of Florida, in the mountains of Massachusetts, and the city life in Atlanta, GA. In July of 2013, she decided to stat fresh in Raleigh, NC, accompanied by her two young sons. 

When she is not busy at work, Mary Beth enjoys spending as much time as possible with her boys, cooking, and sharing her love of music with all around her.
